Square Series: In this type of series, the elements of the series are the squares of the numbers in a sequence.

Example: What will come in the place of question mark (?) in the given series?

1, 4, 9, 16, ?

Answer: Here the elements of the series are the squares of the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively.

Cube Series: In this type of series, the elements of the series are the cubes of the numbers in a sequence.

Example: What will come in the place of question mark (?) in the given series?

1, 8, 27, 64, ?

Answer: Here the elements of the series are the cubes of the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively.

Prime Number Series: If all the elements of the series are prime numbers and given in a certain sequence then it is called prime number series.

Example: What will come in the place of question mark (?) in the given series?

2, 3, 5, 7, ?

Answer: Here all the elements of the series are prime numbers given in a certain sequence. $$2 \longrightarrow 3 \longrightarrow 5 \longrightarrow 7 \longrightarrow \boxed{11}$$
